Should I major in business and then accounting I heard Business has more opportunities n case accounting fails

Accounting is a sure bet (all companies will always look for journal keeper), but business (like stock exchange), being riskier, will often lead to much better and gratifying jobs than boring acocuntant-work-in-the-dark-of-everybody job.Should I major in business and then accounting I heard Business has more opportunities n case accounting fails
It really depends on your interests and skills. Business certainly is a more general degree, but accounting sets you up with the specific skills (and normally credentials) to get a job immediately after graduation. There are lots of different areas in Business, including Human Resources, Marketing and International Business, all of which require specialized courses and ideally work-experience organized through your university. The best thing to do is talk to a career counsellor, and also see what your local post-secondary institutions specialize in.

My best advice would be for Business students to complete a Bachelor of Commerce degree, because a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business is not highly regarded. It is seen as the slacker's route to a business degree.Should I major in business and then accounting I heard Business has more opportunities n case accounting fails
you'll make money either way, but three of my best friends are accountants and had no problem finding jobs that pay well....

plus accounting is more direct and you'll be learning exact skills employers are looking for as opposed to business where its kinda like, you could do anything. i think they look more for MBAs than Bachelors in business.
both is very helpful
