When appointed to a judgeship, Joel Aurnou withdrew from the Greenspan %26amp; Aurnou law firm partnership. He sued for an accounting of his share of the firm's assets at his withdrawal. A month before Aurnou's withdrawal a case had been settled entitling the firm to a contingent fee of $200,000 payable in four equal, annual installments. Should Aurnou recover anything from the contingent fee!
I am stumped on this one. Please help.Business law case question.... help!?
Albeit deferred, the account receivable was created during his tenure and as such he is entitled to his fair share.Business law case question.... help!?
I would guess so. The nature of a partnership is joint and several, therefore each is responsible for the gains and losses of the partnership as a whole. Realistically he would entitled to a portion of that fee.
